Tarmac Marine has a network of aggregate wharves and processing plants located along the River Thames, the south coast and in the Bristol Channel. These take the as-dredged sands and gravels from the ships and process them into the grades of aggregate required by our customers. The wharves can stockpile thousands of tonnes of aggregate but most have a high daily turnover, with materials leaving the wharf by lorry or train for use in major construction projects in ready mixed concrete and concrete products. They serve the key market areas in London and the south-east as well as the urban areas of the south coast from Brighton to Bournemouth and around 40 miles inland. In the south-west, the company supplies high quality natural sand aggregates for the Bristol area and South Wales from Newport to Cardiff, Swansea and Pembrokeshire. In the north-west, Tarmac Marine supplies high quality natural marine sands for the North Wales and Merseyside regions.
