TARMAC HELPS BUXTON PUPILS TO BE SEEN CLEARLY

Tarmac’s Tunstead Cement Plant has donated 50 childrens' and 15 adults’ high visibility jackets to Buxton Junior School in time for Christmas. The jackets will be worn when the children go out on class visits and when walking to the swimming pool.

Cecilia Minter, Buxton Junior School's Head Teacher, said: “We are very grateful that Tarmac have been able to donate these hi-vis jackets to our pupils. They will help keep our children safe and make sure they can be seen when they are out of school.”

The jackets were presented by Linda Grooby and Lucy Smith from Tarmac.  Lucy Smith, Tarmac’s environment co-ordinator at the Tunstead site said:  “Safety is at the heart of everything that Tarmac does as a business and were we delighted to help enhance the safety of the children on their excursions.”
