National Skills and Safety Park
Opened in 2020, Tarmac National Skills & Safety Park is an industry-leading training facility open to the wider construction community. Located at an active quarry near Mansfield in Nottinghamshire, the park provides first-class, practical training for people across the sector – including apprentices, graduates and those retraining from other industries.

Since opening, the Park has welcomed more than 25,000 visitors through face-to-face sessions, virtual classrooms and e-learning. Whether you’re part of Tarmac or an external organisation looking for a high-quality, hands-on training environment, the Park is available for you to use.

Our Facilities
The Park has seven meeting rooms which can be interchanged depending on the number of occupants.
- Silverstone (16 person occupancy)
- Heathrow (16 person occupancy)
- Millennium (16 person occupancy)
- Shard (18/20 person occupancy)
- Mersey Gateway (4 person occupancy)
- V&A (4 person occupancy)
- Occupational Health Room (10 person occupancy)
NOTE: Rooms can be opened up to make more space available. Heathrow, Millennium and Shard can hold upto 70 people in a conference style, Millennium and Shard can be opened up and Mersy Gateway and V&A can be opened.
