Made in 2025

December 18, 2025

In 2025, Tarmac continued to play its part in shaping the places people rely on every day. From the infrastructure that keeps the country connected, to the materials helping to power a lower carbon future, our focus has remained clear: to work responsibly, collaboratively and with care for the communities we serve.

Across the year, we supported national and regional projects, strengthened local partnerships and brought in the talent and capability that will carry our business forward. Always working alongside our customers, we are proud to be reinventing the world around us.

Our teams supported major infrastructure improvements such as the Heads of the Valleys programme, helping to improve connectivity across South Wales, and Sizewell C, supplying essential materials to support the UK’s low carbon energy ambitions. We also opened the Rugby Rail Depot, enhancing rail connectivity and enabling lower carbon logistics to better serve customers across the country.

Alongside large-scale infrastructure, we remained committed to people and nature. At Panshanger Park, improved onsite facilities and biodiversity programmes are helping families enjoy and protect a unique landscape. Through the Riney rain gardens initiative, more than 5,000 plants and over 50 varieties of trees, shrubs and pollinator-friendly species were planted to support urban resilience and biodiversity. At Langford Quarry, the Cooper-Heyman Cup restoration exemplar demonstrated how former industrial sites can be thoughtfully returned to nature.

Innovation and sustainability continued to shape our product and service offering. CEVO Asphalts are helping customers make more informed low carbon decisions, while the launch of Aggblock Lite supported UK housebuilding with a lighter, more sustainable construction solution. The transition to CEM II cement across our bulk and packed products marked another important step, significantly reducing COâ‚‚ emissions.

We also worked to strengthen the resilience of our supply chains and logistics, advancing EV delivery capabilities through our eMixer Discovery Programme in partnership with Renault and TVS Interfleet, and collaborating with partners to unlock the potential of UK-based renewables and manufacturing solutions.

People remain at the heart of everything we do. Through initiatives such as the Blue Circle Cement Big Brew Tour, with Band of Builders and Travis Perkins, we connected with colleagues and customers to support mental health and wellbeing across our industry. Events like the Midlands Sustainability Event brought customers and partners together to share ideas and drive further positive change across the sector.

As 2025 draws to a close, we would like to thank our customers, colleagues and communities for their continued trust and collaboration.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
