In the last three years, 465 incidents of road worker abuse have been reported in Birmingham. That’s why today, organisations and companies that work to improve Birmingham’s roads, including Tarmac, have launched a new campaign Expect Respect – to urge the public to respect its road workers. 

Employees from Tarmac’s Tunstead Cement Plant, in Buxton, came together for a day of activities to mark World Environment Day.

It’s an old cliché: “What gets measured, gets managed.” Yet in the transition to net zero, this adage from the 1950s is highly relevant to understanding carbon emissions data for all companies and their supply chains today.    

Runners in Buxton, Derbyshire, recently laced up their running shoes to take part in the Buxton Half Marathon, which was supported by Tarmac’s Tunstead Quarry.

The entranceway to Staffordshire’s National Memorial Arboretum now features a new sculptural addition which has been crafted using stone donated by Tarmac from its Mountsorrel Quarry, near Loughborough, in Leicestershire.
