Tarmac has partnered with Band of Builders to take “The Big Brew” on tour, visiting Travis Perkins branches across the UK from now until October 2025. The initiative is designed to open up vital conversations around mental health in the construction industry, offering tradespeople a chance to take a break, grab a tea or coffee, and connect with others in a supportive environment.
The Big Brew is a simple yet powerful concept: create space for support. Whether it’s sharing experiences, talking through challenges, or just taking a moment to pause, the tour provides a welcoming environment to promote wellbeing and reduce stigma around mental health in construction.
Band of Builders, the charity behind The Big Brew, is a well-respected organisation in the UK construction sector, known for delivering life-enhancing projects for tradespeople in need and promoting wellbeing within the industry. Through community and compassion, they’re changing lives and creating conversations which is something this tour aims to build on.
Garry Gregory, Packed Products Director at Tarmac, said: “Mental health is an issue that affects many in our industry, yet it’s still something that’s not talked about enough. That’s why we’re incredibly proud to be partnering with Band of Builders and Travis Perkins for The Big Brew tour. This is about more than just a cup of tea, it’s about creating a space where people feel seen, heard and supported. If we can help one person feel less alone or more able to speak up, then it’s all worth it.”
Tarmac and Band of Builders invite tradespeople across the country to join the conversation as the tour makes its way through Travis Perkins branches nationwide. Look out for event dates near you.
