Tarmac, a Financial Times UK’s best employer, has been awarded Exemplar Employer status by The Skills and Employment Alliance, highlighting its outstanding commitment to developing skills and employment opportunities.
This achievement celebrates the organisation’s participation in the 5% Club Accredited Membership Scheme which recognises Tarmac’s commitment to empowering its workforce through “earn and learn” initiatives, including apprenticeships, graduate schemes, and early career opportunities.
Alongside this, Tarmac was acknowledged for being involved in the Careers & Enterprise Company Employer Standards which aims to maximise the impact of employer engagement with young people. And, for its work with the Engineering Development Trust Industrial Cadets Scheme, a UK wide educational charity that connects young people and educators to explore STEM career opportunities.
By engaging with these initiatives, Tarmac has demonstrated its leadership in workforce development, championing skills, apprenticeships, and employability opportunities that create meaningful career pathways.
