Tarmac has concluded the latest cycle of its UK-wide Employee Development Programme (EDP), an industry-leading initiative that sees colleagues from all parts of the business collaborate to tackle industry challenges and develop new skills.

Tarmac has opened a new asphalt plant in Northumberland that incorporates innovative sustainable technologies to enhance its asphalt offering and reduce carbon emissions for its customers across the north east.

Tarmac will once again sponsor and host the Welwyn 10K, a Garden City Runners’ annual event, at Panshanger park. The race will follow a single-lap, 10km off-road route through the park’s historic and natural landscape, with a shorter 2km family fun run also taking place.
